Gil Messer
Chief Operating Officer
Gil Messer serves as Chief Operating Officer of Allied Digestive Health, bringing more than 15 years of experience building and leading multi-site healthcare organizations in private equity-backed and high-growth environments.
Most recently, Gil served as Chief Operating Officer of The Dermatology Specialists, a private equity-backed dermatology platform. During his five-year tenure, he helped quadruple revenue and expand the organization from 15 clinics in one state to more than 65 locations across three states. Prior to that, Gil led centralized operations at CityMD during a period of significant growth, supporting the expansion from 39 to more than 125 urgent care locations.
Gil began his healthcare career in consulting at Deloitte, where he focused on revenue cycle management and health information technology. He earned a Master of Health Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The College of William & Mary.
Gil lives on Long Island with his wife and their three children, ages 6, 4, and 1. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his family. A fun fact about Gil: he is a dual citizen of the United States and Switzerland, a detail that often surprises people, especially given his faint Southern accent.
